Brittany is a young professional who strives to use her engineering background to improve human health. Prior to working at Akadeum, she was the Project Lead for the construction of a rainwater collection system in Tanzania with Engineers Without Borders. She modeled drawings for the system, wrote technical reports and grants, and led a team of engineering students through the final implementation and quality assurance phases of the project. She also interned with Covance as a Clinical Research Associate and assured study sites met FDA compliance.

At Akadeum, Brittany supports the R&D and manufacturing efforts by running assays, analyzing data, and creating nucleic acid extraction bubbles for internal use. Brittany holds a B.S. in Biosystems Engineering from Michigan State University and is currently working on her master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
