Dr. Carolina Livi holds a PhD in Molecular Developmental Biology from CalTech, and was faculty at UTHSCSA and UTSA for 7 years. Carolina transitioned from academia to industry in 2013, spending 6 years at Agilent Technologies as bioinformatics analyst and academic segment manager. She is now is back in academia as Affiliate Professor of Biology at Southern Oregon University in Ashland Oregon with a focus on bioinformatics problems and soil microbiome measurements. Carolina is also working with Akadeum as science advisor and consultant and is Chief Business Development Officer for Numedon, Inc., a company she co-owns with her husband.
