Job Description

Akadeum Life Sciences is an early stage platform company. We have developed a first-of-its kind floatation-based separation product that is applicable to many markets, such as research, cell therapy and diagnostics. This role represents an opportunity to develop new revenue areas for the company and grow existing revenue area across multiple applications.

Key Activities

  • Originate and manage revenue growth opportunities that are consistent with the company’s strategic vision
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, leverage own extensive network, set up meetings with potential customers
  • Deliver strategic leadership for the commercial path to grow RUO kit sales and customer base
  • Lead development of the company’s sales growth with a particular emphasis on cost-effective customer acquisition and market demand generation
  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
  • Technical presentations and participation on behalf of company at conferences and exhibits
  • Work directly with marketing to develop focused digital marketing campaigns
  • Negotiation and closing of deals with key strategic partners and distributors as needed
  • Coordinate with operations on sales forecast and inventory
  • Develop and manage sales budget
  • Develop collaborative working relationships within the organization in pursuit of the of the company’s overall business goals
  • Lead the coordination of the commercial sales side on monthly updates to board, quarterly board meeting presentations


  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful commercialization strategies in early-stage life science companies, growing sales, margin and market share
  • Strong, demonstrated strategic thinking skills, think creatively and develop non-traditional solutions
  • Excellent sales, key account and channel management, particularly in cell separation and molecular biology reagent space, along with ability to work and deliver independently
  • Experience as a FAS is nice to have, as technical presentation and in-lab demonstration skills are critical for success in the role
  • Ability to identify new product opportunities and applications, understand voice of customer and work with customers to position Akadeum technology
  • Solid understanding of marketing to help develop targeted campaigns for your audience
  • International business development and sales experience
  • Ability and willingness to be a hands-on leader and team player who works well with technical teams to prioritize and accelerate projects and new products to market


  • Base salary + variable compensation plan
