The Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing and will be responsible for developing and executing a variety of Akadeum’s marketing efforts for lead generation to drive sales of Akadeum’s life science research products and new product launches. This key impact player will be responsible for creating impactful marketing campaigns, overseeing creative design, website development, conference/tradeshows organization, generating and maintaining marketing collateral and sales and marketing enablement tools, and the support of Sales, Business Development, KOL, and investor events.

Key Result Areas:

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and KOLs to identify and design marketing programs.
  • Plan and execute digital marketing strategy including SEO/SEM, website, email, social media, and marketing campaigns and manage the effectiveness of each to increase conversion.
  • Own lead generation and awareness activities to support to sales, distributors, and business development team.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Application Scientists to generate and maintain marketing collateral and sales tools in various forms (written, presentations, video, etc.) for deployment across multiple channels (print, speakerships, web, social media, etc.).
  • Organize and manage sponsorships, conferences, and tradeshow presence.
  • Ensure that new leads are processed for importing into the CRM.
  • Lead brand awareness and brand management activities including rigorous implementation of brand guidelines. 
  • Utilize analytical tools to measure and report performance of all marketing activities.
  • Manage projects to time and budget
  • Develop and manage third-party vendor relationships and production of creative content to drive overall brand and product strategies.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management, life sciences.
  • Related marketing experience (3+years), life science marketing is preferred.
  • High-energy, motivated, and flexible individual who can work well in a dynamic cross-functional environment.
  • Experience with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of digital marketing channels (social media, web, etc.) and tools (Hubspot, Mailchimp, WordPress marketing automation, etc.). 
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Proven success in building and moving prospects through a sales funnel, including nurturing.
  • Collaborates easily and effectively with an ability to influence without direct authority
  • Exceptional communication, organization, analytical, digital, project management, and planning.
  • Ability to review analytics and make decisions from data.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Desire to work in a small, early-stage company setting with an ability to lead and execute on multifaceted tasks in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
