Job Description

Akadeum is seeking an Inside Sales Representative that will drive revenue for Akadeum by selling products and services through inbound and outbound lead development, identifying high volume lead sources, and building a funnel of high-quality opportunities. This role will work closely with Akadeum’s commercial team, which includes field sales, application science and marketing to achieve growth targets. The Inside Sales Representative role is not just about closing, but also cultivating relationships and supporting accounts.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Directly responsible for revenue growth to meet quarterly and annual sales targets, by continuously identifying and selling into new accounts, primarily through prospecting (phone and e-mail) but also through informing marketing efforts and email promotions
  • Close on new revenue opportunities while maintaining high close rates and profitability
  • Continuously identify opportunities for customer development and revenue growth; expand database of contacts and prospects for the organization
  • Field phone inquiries and enter sales orders into ERP system; support operations with product shipments as needed
  • Take MQLs and turn into sales opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and complete records in the CRM system and submit accurate and timely forecasts, pipeline, and account activity
  • Conduct virtual product demonstrations that highlight better science with Akadeum microbubbles
  • Provide highest level of customer service and build strong relationships with key decision makers
  • Build strong internal relationships to support customers and with field sales to support quota achievement
  • Help field sales and applications with engagements via the website chat bot
  • Provide feedback to marketing on additional material needed to support sales

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of on-quota inside or outside sales experience and proven record of consistent top sales performance
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with ability to influence and win over potential customers
  • Demonstrated knowledge of network prospecting
  • Experience conducting product demonstrations in the life sciences
  • Life science background is a must as sales are often technical in nature
  • High level of attention to detail, in particular with customer engagements, reporting and forecasting
  • Clear communication skills, ability to articulate technical features, understand and identify novel applications
  • Understanding of marketing to provide feedback on materials needed to help drive sales
  • Team player who thrives in helping teammates achieve their goals
