Jianjun is an experienced cell biologist with expertise in cell-based assays, including design and development of new assays .
Prior to joining Akadeum, Jianjun spent 16 years working in the field of Cell Biology. She was a senior scientist at Penrose TherapeuTx, where she started and led the cell-based high throughput screening lab. She also previously worked at Enzo Life Sciences as an R&D scientist, where she was responsible for antibody and cell-based assay development. In her earlier career, she was a staff scientist at National Institutes of Health focusing on cell metabolism.
Jianjun received her Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Gunma University School of Medicine, Maebashi, Japan and B.S. from Dalian Medical University, Dalian, China. She did her postdoctoral training at National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda.
